New guide for eclipse watchers and new editions of top travel guides
Bradt has just published a guide to the 2012 and 2013 solar eclipses, likely to become the bible for all eclipse chasers worldwide.
In 2012, a total eclipse starts in Australia’s Northern Territory and crosses Queensland before disappearing over the Pacific, while June sees the extremely rare transit of Venus, where the planet can be seen moving across the face of the Sun from several regions of the world. During the hybrid eclipse of November 2013 the Sun will be totally eclipsed by the Moon, if you travel to locations including the central and eastern Atlantic Ocean, Gabon, Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia. The booklet is packed with maps, information on weather conditions, photography tips and health and safety advice.
